Frequently Asked Questions
How far in advance should I book my wedding/prom/special event?
I highly encourage you to contact me as soon as you have a date for your event to confirm my availability. Services are reserved on a first come, first serve basis.
When should I book my trial?
I recommend booking your bridal trial 1-3 months before your wedding day. Trials take place in-studio only.
*Please also note, bridal trials are only scheduled from Monday through Thursday
How should I arrive at my appointment (trial or day-of)?
The night before your appointment, use a facial scrub/exfoliator or gently massage the skin with a warm, dampened washcloth to remove any dead skin cells. Please come to your appointment with a clean face and photos of what you wish to look like on your special day.
What if I’m unsure of the total number of people needing makeup for my event?
The maximum number of people I can perform services on in one day is five (5), including the bride. On days I am doing weddings, I try not book any other event; however, I book my time and supplies based on the information provided on our contract. I can only add additional services on a case-by-case basis after the contract has been signed.
In short, please make sure to be quite confident in the services you’re requesting when you complete your contract.
Do you offer hair styling services?
Not at this time.
Do you offer airbrush makeup?
Not at this time, but I do plan on adding this service in the near future.
Do you offer discounts or packages?
Yes, I do offer a discount to groups of three (3) or more. The total amount due would be discounted 10% for parties of three to five.
Where is your studio?
I have a home-based studio. It is located in Burlington County, NJ (08053).
Do you require a deposit?
50% of the total amount due is required to reserve your date and time. The remainder of the balance is due on the day of the event. Appointments will not be finalized until deposit is received.
A late fee of $20 will be charged for every fifteen (15) minutes of delay when a client is late for a scheduled appointment time, or if scheduled appointment time exceeds because of client delays. If you are more than 30 minutes late to your appointment, your appointment will be canceled without refund. Please be considerate of other client’s time.
What happens if I have to cancel my appointment? Will I get my money back?
Unfortunately, your deposit is nonrefundable and nontransferable. Please refer to contract for extenuating circumstances (Acts of God, etc.).
How long will my makeup last?
The products I use for wedding and prom makeup are built to last a minimum of 16 hours – many will endorse it lasts up to 24 hours.
Special occasion and other makeup services are built to last up to 12 hours, depending on the service.
Are false lashes application included in your services?
Yes, they are. If you don’t want false eyelashes, let me know, but the price will not change. There is an upcharge for mink/faux mink lashes. See pricing for details.
Do you travel on-site?
I do travel on site to your venue or home for your special day. It’s always ideal to have a workplace with ample natural lighting and a large table or counter space. If you’re at home, this is usually a dining room or kitchen. If you’re in a hotel, many can accommodate a ‘getting ready suite’ for brides.
There is no travel expense for weddings within 20 miles of zip code 08053 and anything outside of that requires a $0.53/mile round-trip charge. Max 60 miles.
Do you do destination weddings?
On a case-by-case basis, I will consider a destination wedding. Airfare and one night’s hotel stay will be added to your contract.
Do you take before & after photos?
Yes, for trials in-studio, I have professional lighting and photography equipment that allows me to know exactly what you’ll look like photographed on your special day. It also allows other clients to see if I’m the right artist for them.
